Dim sum at Copper Mansion PJ

Came to this place without any prior knowledge of this place at all.

I am pretty sure this Chinese restaurant is the latest addition to the abundance of the upscale Chinese restaurants in the region.

With a flashy signboard by the side of the Federal Highway,
the name of Copper Mansion would definitely ring a bell in the head of many despite its rather secluded location.

The first thing that came to mind when we were locating Copper Mansion was:
How long more till we reach the restaurant?
As it is located at the end of the road, the stretch seemed to be endless with our hungry tummy.
Fast forward to when we arrived, we were quite confused with the parking.
We didn't want to pay extra for the valet so we parked outside and walked to the restaurant.
But we then discovered by chance that parking space is provided just at the other end of the building.

Upon entering the restaurant, I was captivated by the lavish design of the restaurant.
It's absolutely tall and spacious, I'd imagine this place to be an ideal wedding venue.
That said, it's still pretty "oriental" in terms of design.

The dim sum menu was rather boring, with the "usuals".
So we went ahead and ordered a few to try.

As you could probably already tell from the pictures,
we ordered the usual food you'd expect to be served in a dim sum place, so I guess they need no introduction.
But it's definitely not difficult to tell by the look of the food that they all tasted pretty average and/or bland.
The Cantonese stir-fried noodle was especially disappointing. It was a total downer.
It was extremely bland as if it was stir-fried with plain water with a touch of starch.

Bad food aside, their service also needs improvement.
Most of the staffs on duty were Vietnamese, and they didn't understand anything at all. -.-
They were also really unresponsive.

It was a pretty bad experience overall. Bad food, bad service, high price point.
They certainly need to revamp their entire operation in order to thrive in the competitive Chinese restaurant scene in PJ.
