6 Interesting Cafes you Must Try in Bangsar with KetchUp

It was definitely a great honour to receive an invitation from the lovely Penny, one of the devoted members of the KetchUp team, to join their finale blogger speed run programme.

Blogger speed run is an event where 6 bloggers and media representative from SINIKAKI would visit 6 Cafés in 6 weekends across 6 neighbourhoods! This is in conjunction with the official launch of the KetchUp.com.my!

Frankly speaking, I thought it was pretty daunting and tiring to visit 6 Cafés in a day! But after reviewing their FB page, I was blown away! They look like a bunch of really fun people, sharing stories behind every cafe. It is also a great platform to get out there and start talking to real people, which is a thing the current society is lacking.

KetchUp is a social platform that promotes great cafes with a story. It's a platform for all the cafe owners to share their story behind their brand, as well as allowing cafe hoppers like us to experience and rediscover the cafes we have always heard about.

KetchUp, with their community members, is determined to give Cafés special memories to tie in with, thereby providing a special reason for the patrons to keep returning to each every of the uniquely designed Space.

Bangsar is undoubtedly the place where cafes mushroomed all over. But with so many choices to pick from, we are definitely having hard time deciding what are the most interesting cafes to visit. Therefore, KetchUp has handpicked 6 of the most heatedly discussed about cafes in Bangsar, and decided to introduce them all over again to the world, this time with a sentimental touch - the story behind each successful brand.

1. Solution to all your coffee problems- Pulp by Papa Palheta

This place is unique in its own kind!
This place is definitely a hub for anything coffee related!
Not only is it a place where you can nibble on light bites with freshly brewed coffee daily,
it has also expanded their kitchen and is now providing wholesome brunch meals! If you are looking for a convenient place that sells high quality coffee beans, this place sells freshly roasted espresso blends & single-origin beans.
Rather than being just another F&B outlet, PULP envisions to be a sales & service centre for coffee gadgets & a space for professional training, cupping sessions & workshops.

2. Modern European Cuisine without breaking your bank - Roost KL

Believed and holding dear to its Farm to Fork philosophy, this is the place to go to if you want to remove the doubts of the ingredients on your plate. This is a place with a refined English hispter decoration. It has an open kitchen concept that you would give you assurance that your food is well prepared. Their menu is unique and interesting. Most of the food here is quite an offbeat, and not just any ordinary western food to be seen elsewhere.
Must try is their Panna cota that they take pride of! You would absolutely love the bouncy texture, and how it melts in your mouth!

this is definitely a place for all your Korean desserts craving fixation!
Started out by just selling bingsu and some basic Korean street food, Hanbing now has more extensive menu that offers more Korean food options!
They have Korean chef in the Kitchen so you know you are getting authentic Korean food here.
The best food that this place offers?
It's a no brainer, Bingsu of course!
Smoothest shaved ice I have ever landed my toungue on!
Melts instantly, various exciting flavours to choose from,
not too sweet, makes it a healthier option,

4. Real food done right at Ashley's by Living Food

Living Food which has been operating for years and qualified to be referred to as a veteran in this industry had given birth to their first offshoot in Bangsar. (hint: more to come!)
This is the place where you're rest assured that the food you are consuming are all organic!
All the ingredients were made by their team and are free of chemicals including MSG etc.
Besides feasting on food that would tantalize your palate, this place also sell groceries (again, all organic)! This place also sells different types of food that cater to vegans!

Bread and buns that even the toddlers would love - Tedboy Bakery

You could say this bakery is a celebration for the love for bread of this lovely couple,
or you could say this bakery is to commemorate the birth of their little baby boy, Ted.
The TedBoy team insist in using only the finest and best ingredients to bake their breads,
they only want to sell breads that their babies would consume.
So I think you could these are the best baby-safe bakery in KL!
Breaking the stereotype that this place only serve solely as a bakery,
this place ostensibly sells some really good simple fare too!
Their pizza was amazing! And their Norwegian Salmon Croissant was surprisingly simple yet good!
My best bet has got to be their bread loaves!

They have the quirkiest flavour you could ever think of! I mean, seriously who would have thought bubble gum would go with coffee? Head down this place and discover yourself!

Opening Hours: Daily 9am-1am

This blogger speed run programme had turned out to be one of the most interesting cafe reviews that I have ever participated. I love how friendly and helpful the KetchUp crews are! They arranged everything so well and made sure that the activity goes really smoothly. There was basically nothing we need to fret about. I am also really proud of the team as they achieved what they have set from the beginning, that is getting out there and get socialising! I have got to know some really nice people from this event, and I am in love with this big family. It has added so much more wonderful memories to every single cafes that we have stopped by. Last but not least, I would like to extend my greatest appreciation to Penny and Nicholas, who are the main committee of this event. They are such a great sport and undoubtedly the most comfortable people to work with, With these you know, cafe owners have finally found the best platform to tell the world the stories behind them.
