Who says one must travel outside of Klang for insta-worthy cafe?
Just driving past this building surprised us!
We honestly didn't know such hipster place exist in Klang, especially, the busiest, and oldest part of the Klang (nearby Little Indian). It was such a beautiful contrast and we were extremely excited to see what were the food like.
Waves oh oohhhh~'s and aahhhhh~'s were coming out involuntarily from our mouth as we marveled at the stunning modern chic design.
The abundance of natural light shining into the building, the contrasting patterns on the floor and the walls, pops of colours and tons of interesting decor, I had to double check if I was really in Klang.
As attractive as the interior design was, the food was a complete let-down.
3 out of the 4 orders we made were not available for a stupid reason- ran out of ingredients.
-.-
I mean... If you're going to operate on a Sunday, at least make sure you restock all of your ingredients the day before.
We didn't get the chance to try their famous dishes and we were left with very very minimal choices.
So do expect loads of pasta's from us. -.-
Vegetable Pasta (suitable for vegetarians)
I honestly don't have much to say about this dish,
it was as mediocre as an aglio olio could get.
Even though I did enjoy the springy noodle texture, I couldn't justify paying more than RM20 for a plate of pasta tossed with olive oil mixed in cubes on vegetables.
Lamb Cutlets
The only popular dish we got to try.
This dish was pretty good.
I mean, it wasn't anything out of this world, but it was definitely not the worst I have tried.
The lamb cutlets were juicy and aptly flavoured, though I wish they could add in a few more pieces of vegetables.
Nonetheless, they do deserve credits for such lovely presentation.
Tandoori Chicken with Pesto Pasta
The tandoori chicken has a lot of room for improvement.
It lacked a distinct tandoori flavour and it was a little too moist for my liking.
It was a little odd paired with the pesto sauce but then again, it got okay after a while.
This cafe is located inside the Lax Boutique Hotel and the lobby area looked absolutely stunning.
Overall, I wasn't too impressed with the food, but I genuinely liked the decor!
If you want to take some insta-worthy photos and basically just want a nice and cozy place to chill, this place would be a great option!
