Paradise Dynasty @ Paradigm Mall

D's Birthday Marathon - Final episode

Paradise Dynasty is a fool-proof Chinese restaurant for various occasions, be it Birthday Celebration, parents' day celebration or just a simple casual Sunday luncheon.

I have talked about this place a couple of times on my blog, but I see myself coming back to them for celebrations because there is just so many food on the menu that I have yet gotten the chance to try out!

Appetizer: Crisp Fried Teochew Prawn Roll (RM15.90)
Crunchy on the outside but tender on the inside, this dish opens up your appetite and got your tummy ready for all the dishes which are coming your way!

Rainbow Siew Long Bao and Halloween Special Siew Long Bao
Please click here for detailed explanation of each flavours.
I dare say, Paradise Dynasty serves the best Siew Long Bao in KL, topped Dragon i and many other luxury Chinese restaurants for various reasons:
1. They come in a wide selection of flavours for you to choose from!
2. They are absolutely delicious! Soup was absolutely flavourful and the meatball in the dumpling was tender and juicy. My personal favourites: foie gras and black truffle!
3. Not only do they taste heavenly, they are absolutely pleasing to the eyes, and thoroughly insta-feed worthy!

Poached Chinese Spinach with Egg Trio and Minced Pork in Superior Stock (RM22.90)
My parents loved Chinese Spinach but I think they usually taste pretty bland.
But I was all wrong when I tried this!
It has the right amount of saltiness and an added flavour with the three variations of eggs all in one dish!

Stewed Egg Plant with Minced Pork and Salted Fish in Claypot (RM24.90)
I know of many people who do not like brinjal/eggplant, but I am pretty positive that this one might change your mind!
The juxtaposition of the soft and almost muddy texture of the eggplant with the firm yet tender minced pork and the crunchy salted fish provided a three-dimensional texture to the dish.
The taste was, of course, top notch.

Sweet and Sour Chicken (RM20.90)
Quite a staple in most Chinese restaurants.
But perhaps the replacement of pork with chicken meat made the meat somewhat stiff and difficult to eat.
The sauce was quite all right, but I wouldn't recommend this dish.

Cod Fish 200gm (RM49.90)
The love affair of cod fish and I are endless.
And just because the texture of the cod fish is already a luxury experience on its own, it's best steamed with soy sauce to bring out the flavour.

Fried Ramen
If you already loved your typical fried Kuey Teow, it's almost guaranteed that this would be your new favourite!
Ramen is springy and non-tangly (always a plus),
deliciously fried to golden brown perfection with loads of eggs, veges and some sliced meat thrown in.

Chilled Aloe Vera and Chrysanthemum in Honey Lemon Juice
Couldn't have had a better way to end the meal!
Refreshing and soury, definitely a great way to comfort our tummy after such a sinful meal.

Our dishes actually came in a set meal, but we added two baskets of siew long paus. The great news is, a la carte of each and every dishes mentioned above are also available so you don't have to worry about burning a hole in your pockets!

Just a gentle reminder, this place is always brimming with patrons, so reservations are very much welcomed!
